The Concept of Wellness

In today's fast-paced world, the pursuit of wellness has become the ultimate goal, the proof that we are happy and for-filled.

We're bombarded with images of toned bodies, serene minds, and glowing spirits, all seemingly attainable with the right diet, exercise regimen, and mindfulness practice.

However, let's be honest for a moment, most of what you see online is a complete lie and a mere 5 second snapshot of someone's, apparent, wonderful and authentic life.

Beneath the surface lies a truth that often gets overlooked – wellness is not a linear

path.

In this blog post, we'll explore why wellness is a journey filled with twists, turns, and unexpected detours, and why embracing its non-linear nature is essential for true growth and fulfilment.

Wellness encompasses more than just physical health; it encompasses multiple dimensions, including mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

It's about finding balance and harmony in all aspects of our lives, rather than focusing solely on the number on a scale or the minutes spent at the gym.

It's about NOT reaching for a perfection that you think exists, it's about living a life that is authentically you and doing the small things that make you happy.

I have tried meditation over and over again and I discovered that the best way to me to meditate is CrossFit. 1 hour where I am living in the present and nothing else matters.

You have to work out what works for you, not what you think should work for you!

The Reality of Non-Linearity

The truth is, the wellness journey is far from linear.

Life is messy, unpredictable, and full of challenges that can derail even the most well-intentioned plans. Progress is rarely a straight line; it's more akin to a rollercoaster ride, with ups and downs, twists and turns.

Rather than viewing setbacks as failures, we must embrace them as opportunities for growth and learning.

Adopting a mindset of self-compassion and acceptance allows us to navigate the ups and downs of the wellness journey with resilience and grace. Instead of striving for perfection, we should focus on progress and celebrate the small victories along the way.

Navigating the non-linear nature of the wellness journey requires patience, flexibility, and a willingness to adapt.

Setting realistic goals has been a game changer for me.

I suffer from massive overwhelm which then leads me to thinking 'what Is the point?' and then giving up!

My Strategies for Navigating my Wellness Journey

I have always kept a journal and that is my go to practice whenever I need to figure things out and understand why I am feeling the way I feel.

For you that might be going to a walk, mediating, going swimming or talking to a loved one (or In my case the dog!)

The key to incorporating wellness into your life is figuring out what that means to you and what small steps you can take each week to improve it.

Remember to follow the 80/20 rule and ignore the apparent perfection that is clogging up your social media feeds.

I am a mum, step mum, cold water enthusiast, coffee drinker, dog walker and lost toy finder ( I am unbeaten!)

I started researching and landed on the concept of hacking your hormones, well I was hooked, I tried everything and I not only felt good and started to lose weight, but I felt empowered.

I had take back control of my life and that in itself has the power to level up how you feel and what you do.

I started THE PURE WILD COMPANY because I fell like I had lost who I was as a person, I felt pretty alone and I felt really stressed, really tired and quite frankly, pretty down about everything...

and then I hit THE PERI MENOPAUSE and OMG I thought I was going insane!

Its like a magic recipe book that women need to be given at birth!

And I made a promise that I would give this to every woman I could, because this, COMPLETELY CHANGED MY LIFE!
